Friday, December 20, 2024. It is with great excitement that the City of Forest Lake introduces Mark Statz as the new City Administrator. Mr. Statz was interviewed by the Council on Wednesday evening. After the interview, the Council deliberated and voted unanimously to offer him the position. Mr. Statz has been the City Administrator in Centerville since 2017. Prior to that he worked in private practice at Stantec for nearly 20 years, providing engineering services for cities and towns throughout the state. As he shared in the interview, he has been to over 800 council meetings in his career! Throughout the recruitment and interview process Mr. Statz demonstrated a calm, professional, thoughtful demeanor. Mr. Statz has a reputation for strong technical knowledge and creative problem-solving skills. Mr. Statz will be starting sometime in February. We look forward to 2025 and beyond with Mr. Statz.
